Pt. Shri Umesh Sharma is the founder of the Company, who is highly experienced and veteran person in the field of Ayurveda. He has worked in various capacities with one of the well-known National Brand of Ayurvedic products for over 35 years, he had acquired in-depth knowledge and gained invaluable experience. At the same time, he is endowed with rich heritage as his father Acharya Pt. Shivdatt Sharma was a well-known Sanskrit Scholar from Varansi (Kashi). He possessed deep knowledge of the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, Jyotish Vidya (Astrology), and the ancient medicinal science of Ayurveda, which he diligently passed on to future generationsHe was a visionary reformer, disciplined, and highly respected. He ran a “Sanskrit Pathshala” to educate people on improving their lives through better habits (Achar-Vichar), lifestyle (Ahar-Vihar), and medicine (Aushadhi). His efforts significantly advanced people’s well-being and deepened their understanding of Ayurveda. His profound influence deeply shaped the lives of his son, Shri Umesh Sharma, and grandson, Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, instilling in them a passion for Ayurveda.
Inspired by this rich heritage, deep knowledge, and extensive experience, Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma dedicated himself to improving people’s lives, helping them lead healthier and happier lives through Ayurveda. He established a manufacturing unit in the year 1985 for Ayurvedic formulations under the name “Shiv Herbal” and made these products available through his company, “Shivayu Ayurved.” The name “Shivayu” was thoughtfully created by blending the first four letters of his father Shivdutt’s name (“Shiv”) with the three letters of Ayurveda (“Ayu”). This unique name beautifully reflects the rich heritage and ancestral values that inspired his work. Hence, the Company Shivayu Ayurved brings three generations of insightful knowledge and vast experience of a generation in the field of Manufacturing and Marketing of Ayurvedic Products.
The entire operation of the Shivayu Ayurved is aptly supported by his well-qualified Grandson Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma who is operating as the CEO &; Excecutive Director of the Company. He is having excellent educational background as B. Com, LLB, D. Pharma, DMM, M.A & M.Phil & Ph.D.. Building on his family’s Ayurvedic wisdom, he pursued a career in this field with dedication. He began in 1979 by running a retail Ayurvedic store and later worked as a Sales Representative for a renowned national Ayurvedic brand. Over the past four decades, he gained invaluable hands-on experience in the sales and marketing of Ayurvedic products, solidifying his expertise in the industry, He Started Shiv Herbal in 1985.
With his rich experience and visionary outlook, he actively explores new opportunities, drives innovation, and fosters collaboration within the organization. His eagerness to learn, adapt, and embrace challenges creates an open and dynamic work environment that inspires growth and creativity. His soft-spoken nature and thoughtful interactions help him set clear, ambitious goals while working closely with the team to achieve them. About The Company
Shivayu Ayurved was launched in the year 1985. Initially it was launched in some parts of Maharashtra. With the phase wise expansion, it has been launched in other parts of the Country. Today the Company continues to have its strong presence in the Northern, Central, Western and some Southern part of India. Right from the inception of the company, the products have been very well accepted by the members of the Ayurvedic Professions, Believers in Ayurveda and the Consumers.
Now, there is a very wide range of Ayurvedic Preparations with excellent Therapeutic values and standards in various Therapeutic segments such as Gastrointestinal, Gynaecological, Paediatric, Urological, Orthopaedic, Diabetes, Immunity booster including Haircare & Skincare products. It offers over 70 Products in three major Categories- Ethical, Proprietary (OTC Potential) and Generic and some of them have become fast moving Brands in their respective markets. In the early stages, it had made supplies and fulfilled the demand of the developed Nations such as USA and Germany. In order to meet the growing demand, the Company has developed excellent Distribution network. It has 4 C & F Agents and over 200 Stockists so as to ensure wider distribution for easy availability of all products at far corners of each and every territory.
Similarly, Company believes that today, in this knowledge based expanding economy, it becomes absolutely essential to carry out “Collaborative Efforts.” It helps immensely as it makes significant contributions to mutual growth and development. Since the Company was actively engaged and had a rich experience in the production of the Ayurvedic Healthcare Products, it had been endorsing vigorously the “Herbal Concept” and successfully adapting age old knowledge to satisfying modern needs for nearly four decades.
In keeping with this, the Company has been carrying out “Research & Developmental” efforts for updating of its products range from time to time. Accordingly, the Company continues to engage itself in developing its Ayurvedic Medicines into user friendly forms such as Capsules, Tablets, Granules, Liquids, Powders, Ointments and Herbal Massage Oils. At the same time, Purity and Quality being the watchwords of the company, it has a dedicated team of highly knowledgeable and experienced people such as eminent Ayurvedic Vaidyas and Chemists in the field of Pharmaceuticals. And the entire production processes, starting from procurement of raw materials to formulation and to the finished products, are subjected to the careful scrutiny of this team of experts so as to ensure rigid Quality standards. For this purpose, it has sufficient Data bank, guiding information in the “Ancient Text” on various Herbs along with research data of the modern times for the necessary reference.
At the same time, the Company continues to follow GMP standards and it has been duly recognized with GMP and ISO Certifications. Interestingly, the Company has extended this facility to others and undertaken manufacturing of Ayurvedic Product Range for some of the leading Pharmaceutical Companies such as Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, Pune and Nucon Remedies, Raipur. The Company proudly states that it has inherent asset of Professionals having sound knowledge and vast experience in the field of Production, Research & Development (R&D) and Food & Drugs (F&D) including Techno-Commercial aspects. Similarly, in the field of Marketing, the entire operation including co-ordination with all the Collaborators is being well carried out by a team of Professionally Trained members of the Field Force -Sales Personnel, Regional Sales Managers and aptly supported by Marketing head.

Ayurvedic Medicines, Nutraceuticals, Cosmetics & Toiletries and Sports supplements. Also, this will be having a facility to produce standardized “Herbal Extracts” for its captive consumption and exports.
